Q. How far will the band travel?
A. We tend to take bookings within the nearest few hundred miles, but we're happy to travel. We have played abroad several times but obviously travel expenses increase. Give us a ring and we'll be happy to arrange something. Q. Would you play special requests or first dances? A. Of course we would consider requests. All we need to know is which song(s) you would like us to play and a bit of notice so we can rehearse. Q. What do you wear when you're on stage? A. We dress smartly; usually the boys wear suits and the girls wear dresses. If you have any specific ideas for your particular event then we're more than happy to oblige. Halloween costume is always an enjoyable one! Probably not a good look for weddings though. Q. How long do you play for? A. Usually we do two sets of about an hour each with a half hour break between. It depends on how fast our drummer decides to play on that particular evening. Again, just let us know if you would like anything different for your event. Q. How late can you play? A. As late as you like, in principle. Venue licensing will usually stipulate time limits on live entertainment so it's always a good idea to check with the venue. In our experience, week nights usually finish around midnight and about 1 o'clock on Fridays or Saturdays. Give us a ring if you have any queries. Q. Are you happy to play outdoors or in marquees? A. Yes, absolutely. The only extra consideration is that our equipment stays clean and dry so a decent covering over the stage is essential. The usual requirements still apply, i.e. suitable power supplies, space requirements. Is is important you get in touch though so we can chat through the details. Q. Is it possible to come and see you play? A. Unfortunately it is quite difficult to come and see us. The vast majority of our gigs are private functions (weddings, birthdays etc) or corporate events. Only very occasionally do we play for the general public. The best thing to do is to keep an eye on our 'Diary' where we'll detail upcoming events. Alternatively, have a browse to our 'Media' page where there are songs, videos and pictures for you to download. We can also send out promotional CDs if you wish. Q. My brother plays the kazoo/tuba/spoons. Can he come and join you for a song? A. No problem - the more the merrier! If you need to know keys of songs or other musical stuff feel free to get in touch. Q. Can you supply a DJ or background music? A. Yup. Let us know if you have any specific requirements. A. We're not too demanding; just a room somewhere fairly near the stage is adequate so we can change before and after the performance. It all depends on the venue and how far we have to travel. If we're playing in a hotel four hundred miles from home then it's always nice to have a hotel room for changing so we can wash or shower etc. On the other hand, if we're playing in a garden ten minutes from home then we'll be fine with the garden shed. |
